Where Walls Begin
To Speak
Velvet Walls designs curated art experiences for business, hospitality, and commercial spaces; blending art, sensory interaction, and brand storytelling.
We create temporary art placements and exhibitions that activate spaces.
Velvet Walls is designed as a scalable art placement solution for organizations that use physical space as part of their brand, identity, and experience, and that want to integrate art without building internal art teams.
We approach art not as a static object to be viewed, but as a medium to shape environments; where art becomes a trigger for engagement through sensory layers, shared experiences, and brand storytelling
We expands art placement beyond the visual by introducing shared, sensorial, and social interaction layers that transform artworks into collective experiences. The objective is to shape the atmosphere, encourage human connection, and increase dwell time and engagement within physical spaces.
Experiential Layers
Traditional art placement asks people to look. Velvet Walls asks people to feel, experience, interpret, and share space together, turning spaces into cultural & experiential environments people want to stay in. Experential layers include touch, sound, smell, interaction.
Brand Partnerships
We turn art from a pure expense into a strategic asset—reducing operational burden, enhancing brand identity, activating communities, and enabling cost-neutral or revenue-positive outcomes—without compromising artistic integrity.
The team
Celine Barns
ViViana PLasil
With a background in entrepreneurship, business development, and talent management within startup and scale-up environments, Celine Barns brings a strong expertise in designing scalable, high-impact solutions aligned with business needs. Her work focuses on structuring concepts that are both strategically sound and operationally viable, enabling organizations to integrate new formats without adding internal complexity.
2023 and 2024 marked a turning point where she worked closely with creatives and artists, including in visual artists’ management. Through this, she developed a direct understanding of the challenges, dynamics, and untapped opportunities within the art ecosystem. Her observations led her to what became the foundations of Velvet Walls: How can art exist beyond galleries? How can it be brought into the spaces where people meet, connect, and live — such as commercial and public environments?
Viviana Plasil brings a cultural studies background and extensive experience in developing and producing exhibitions, cultural formats, and international events. Her work sits at the intersection of art, society, and transformation, with a strong focus on how cultural initiatives can create dialogue and connection across different communities and contexts. Over the years, she has built a broad network of artists, curators, cultural institutions, and creative practitioners. Her projects often bring together diverse stakeholders from the cultural, political, and business worlds to create meaningful public experiences. Alongside her curatorial and cultural work, Viviana has led numerous initiatives in organisational transformation and digital innovation. She is particularly interested in how cultural spaces and artistic perspectives can support change processes and strengthen social cohesion. For her, art is not an isolated field but a vital societal force: art connects people, opens new perspectives, and helps build bridges across differences.
